Meet the girl behind the blog...

During the summer of 2010, I interned for a design company in New York City. I had just returned from the most amazing three month trip to Italy where I studied fashion and European culture.  My time spent abroad played a major role in shaping me into who I am today. I would give anything to do it all over again, and I plan on it. When I returned home to Georgia from my internship, I realized Europe and New York City (while very far away from each other) had one thing in common, they made me hungry for more. Since Italy was not a very realistic option, I knew NYC was where I needed to be.

In December 2010, I got a call from a good friend (who at the time I barely knew) saying he had an open bedroom and if I wanted it I had to jump on it. Seconds later, I hung up the phone, ran downstairs and said "Mom and Dad, I'm moving to New York" Two weeks later I moved into my first apartment in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

During my first year in the big apple, I worked as a Visual Merchandiser for Brandy Melville. In September of 2011, I started working as an Assistant Denim Designer where I spent 3 prosperous years not only growing as a designer, but learning about myself and just who I wanted to become! With the new year of 2015 approaching,  I decided it was time to for the next step. I recently accepted a job as an Associate Designer with a new company where I continue to strive for success in this crazy beautiful thing called life!

It was during the summer of 2013 that I started blogging.  I love watching Freedom of Wardrobe grow and feel honored to have the recognition it has received thus far!  Sharing my style with the world and inspiring others with their's gives me such a great deal of satisfaction.  Thank you for following me on this journey!
