Where to Eat + Drink NYC

When I visit NYC, one of my favorite things to do is scope out the latest spots for brunch & cocktails! With the help of my local besties we stopped by several different spots over the weekend! All of which the food, ambience & drinks were on point! Scroll down to see my recs! :) Also if you click on the photos it will take you to their website so you can check out the menu! XOXO -Katie

RUBY’S NYC . We started the day off here for Brunch! Definitely a cute spot! Keep in mind you will probably have to wait a little as they are usually busy and don’t take reservations! We waited 45 minutes, but it was totally worth it. Pro tip- Arrive before 12:00 pm to beat the crowd, or put your name in and grab a drink down the street while you wait.

Gitano NYC . Where Tulum meets NYC! Seriously though, this bar/restaurant actually exists in Tulum and they opened a pop up in NYC! It’s literally in the middle of Soho. As you walk up the outside can be deceiving and may have you questioning your choice, but trust me once you walk through the entrance you’re transported right to Mexico! The drinks are so pretty too!! Pro Tip- the kitchen closes late in the afternoon and re-opens at 5:00!

The Turf Club at the William Vale Hotel, NYC . This pop-up turf bar has by far one of the best views of the city. They have corn hole, foosball, and plenty of bean bags for lounging! It’s $20 to enter but it includes your first drink ($14 value anyway) so really it’s like you’re paying $6 to enter and it’s totally worth it for this view! They have a really tasty Aperol Spritzes! Keep in mind this place is seasonal and I think will only be open through October 7th!

Tupelo Honey

Tupelo Honey, a Southern Food Restaurant based in Asheville is a treat! I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu! We stopped by their Sandy Springs location for lunch and we're blown away with the food, atmosphere, and staff! Our waitress was so sweet.  Plus they now offer Frosè which automatically gives them some bonus points in my book! They are best known for their friend chicken, which my boyfriend ordered and devoured within five minutes.  Scroll down to see what was on our table!

STIR, Chattanooga

STIR.  Located in Downtown, Chattanooga! You won't be disappointed with their selection of craft cocktails! And if you're an oyster fan this is the place for you! Although, they do have an extensive menu of plenty of other options! We just wanted a late day snack so we ate pretty light! But for starters we got the seasonal dips which included hummus, pimento cheese, edamame dip, warm pita bread & crostini. YUMMM! For our entrees, We got the Chicken Chop Salad and the Iceberg Wedge Salad.  All very tasty and we left completely satisfied.

8ARM Brunch

Let's talk Brunch, one of my favorite past times ;) More specifically let's talk brunch at 8ARM, a restaurant & bar located near Ponce City Market on Ponce De Leon Ave! Based on it's location you already know it's going to be a hip spot with a cool, low key ambiance! It reminds me a brunch spot in the Lower Eastside (NYC). I opted for the Avocado Toast because I'm basic like that.  Chase got the Prime Rib Sandwich. I also got a latte, because they are necessary on Sunday mornings! Side note- you can opt for Crab on top of the Avo Toast, which I may try next time! It was all delish as you can see, so round 2 is def going to happen soon!

Bartaco Inman Park

One of my favorite places and blogger friendly restaurants is Bartaco!  They are best known for their mini, but tasty tacos, delicious margaritas, and laid back atmosphere! My favorite items off of the menu are the pork tacos, spicy margaritas, & tuna poke! Plus their decor is always on point.  They have 3 locations in Atlanta, plus locations in 7 other states!

Salt in Downtown Alpharetta

The Salt Factory Pub has 3 locations! (Roswell, Woodstock, & Alpharetta) We went to the one in downtown Alpharetta! Upon arriving at Salt my mom told me I had to try the Pulled Pork Taco appetizer. She did not steer me wrong, they were A-mazing! (As you can see!) Loaded up with yumminess and flavor! These may not be a first date item to order as they were quite messy and taco sauce smeared all over your face is not ideal! But hey as long as you both have taco sauce on your face, I don't see the problem! haha Anyway.. seriously try these tacos! I got the Tuscan Kale & Pecorino Salad + Grilled Chicken as my main (to balance out the tacos of course). It was very good and the portion size was perfect.

Other items ordered at our table (we we're a table of 5! C'mon I could not eat all of this food by myself, well maybe...) were The Gastropub Pizza, Salt Factory Mussels, Chicken Pot Pie, and two Burgers (can't remember which ones!) There were no complaints at our table, so I'm confident you will love all of these options as well!

Taverna at The Shops Buckhead Atlanta

Let me introduce you to Taverna! A beautifully decorated Italian restaurant that feels like you just stepped off the streets of Rome.  They also have the cutest covered patio! First of all, they gave us free Focaccia to dip in the olive oil & balsamic vinegar which is a huge win in my book! As my main course, I had the Taverna salad and added grilled chicken.  It was very colorful and tasty as you can see, YUM! My coworker, Jessica, had the Gnocchi which she said was delish! Taverna is strategically placed in the heart of The Shops in Buckhead! So after you work up an appetite shopping at Planet Blue, make sure to stop by here and grab a bite to eat!

Corso Coffee at the Shops Buckhead Atlanta

You know those Coffee shops that make you feel like you are in the middle of New York City or somewhere in Italy. I'm talking quaint with cute/simple decor and delicious looking lattes that mine as well be art pieces.   Plus all types of amazing gourmet sandwiches with ingredients like prosciutto, mozarella, tomatoes, and arugula. Corso Coffee is that place! You could be at a business meeting at the corner table or flying solo up at the bar. Plus there is plenty of window seating either way. As for what's in my plate... I opted for a vanilla latte and the Corso sandwhich.  Yes, it was just as amazing as it looks!

Bar Taco Chastain Park

One of the most Instagrammable restaurants I have ever been to is Bar Taco! I recently did a Insta story takeover for their account @bartacolife and their food presentation couldn't have made it more simple! They are promoting their #bartacosecret taco which changes every couple of months.  This month is the lobster taco! Quite tasty, if you're a taco lover like me (let's be honest is there anyone that isn't because I want to me you.. or do I? haha) you will be a huge fan of this place! My personal favorite is their Tuna Poke! (bottom of the first pic!) It's to die for.. Plus they have several locations in 8 states so make sure to see if there's one near you!
